My daughter rocks

Zoe is really sick, as you can see.

By himself

What do you think?

To make up for the last one

Not going on the Christmas Card

We're trying to figure out which photo(s) to put on the 2006 Kaiser family Christmas card, and, well, this one didn't make the cut.

For what it's worth, Zoe is wearing a diaper here, and it was muchwarmer when this photo was taken.

My favorite part, however, is the title of the book in the foreground. I think that's probably what Zoe's thinking in this photo. Posted by Picasa

Great-Gran and the service economy

It's good putting older folks to work. Posted by Picasa

Owen supervises

It can be hard to get competent work out of your parents unless you really stay on top of them. Posted by Picasa

Owen going to the dogs

Owen really, REALLY liked Rosie and Max. I'm not sure the concern was mutual. Posted by Picasa

Owen and Daddy cook

It's not pudding, but Owen and I had fun working on the mashed potatoes. Posted by Picasa

Turkey consultation

No one wants to poison the guests. Posted by Picasa

Making an entrance

Owen enters a room with a greater expectation that folks are looking at him than most B list celebrities. I love that about him. Posted by Picasa

John and Zoe

Zoe and John developed a really close relationship while we were in Lincoln. Perhaps it's because Owen is the Welsh version of John, so Zoe felt that John is similar to her brother, only with a name that has fewer connotations of musty peat. Perhaps it's something else. Regardless, it was very nice to see them together. Posted by Picasa

Zoe and Great-Gran

Though, truth be told, I think this is kind of an odd photo. Posted by Picasa

Zoe's game wear

Zoe wore this for the Husker game day. Posted by Picasa

Get your Fash-on!

I love that hat. Posted by Picasa

Lights!

Owen is really into the Christmas lights on the tree. Posted by Picasa

Inherently dangerous activity

Recognizing the dangers in tree assembly, Owen required me to wear a helmet. Posted by Picasa

Christmas tree!

Here, dad and Owen "go to the tree farm" and "cut down a tree" by assembling the factory made one we bought a few years ago.

Owen was very nice about complimenting me on my work as I went along. Posted by Picasa

Sea of Red

Below are some shots from Owen's first Nebraska game. I think he was kind of freaked out by a lot of it, particularly how everyone yelled when Colorado was trying to make a play on defense, and how everyone wore the same color.

Also, he really wanted to play with a truck outside the stadium. Posted by Picasa

Too much talking

Owen wearies of my analysis of the game. Posted by Picasa

The Pride of All Nebraska

is apparently not Owen or Zoe, but this group. Posted by Picasa

A tense third down

Owen nervously watches a third and long on one of Nebraska's first drives. Posted by Picasa

Instant Replay

Owen watches the instant replay on the big screen behind us.

He was pretty dismayed about the quality of some of the officiating. Posted by Picasa
